Amazon has gone ahead and launched yet another smart speaker in India called “Echo Show” followed by the previous Echo Input, Echo Dot and Echo Plus speakers that were launched last year at a special event hosted by the company. The Amazon Echo Show is priced at Rs 22,999 and of that’s pricey, the company is also offering easy EMI options for the Indian consumers.
The Echo Show device is basically a 10-inch HD display device that can stream a variety of content from Amazon Prime Videos, YouTube and other services in-built in the device. Speaking of the skills, the users can make use of Alexa to get all the news and weather updates, make a Skype call with your contacts, watch cooking videos from Sanjeev Kapoor, get cricket updates from ESPN and Cricinfo, book an OLA Ride in seconds and more.
The company is also offering the buyers of Echo Show with a Philips Hue bulb for zero cost, if they get the device from the Amazon India website or from any retail stores. This is awesome as you can turn it on/off or adjust the brightness directly from the device.
Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices India said:
Today, we’re making this voice-first experience better by introducing Echo Show which provides an enhanced audio-visual experience. The large screen size will increase utility and make it even easier to ask Alexa to show you things, no matter where you are in the room. And the room filling sound will make watching a music video, catching up on your favorite shows or listening to your favorite playlist more enjoyable.
