Huawei has hit a new record for the current Mate 20 smartphone in the mate series, with over 10 million units sold in the last 4 and a half months. This is an all new record for the company in China, overpowering all the landmarks for the previous Mate smartphones. The Mate 20 has become very popular in China and the demand for this smartphone is catching up quickly in countries like Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and other regions.
The Huawei Mate 20 runs on Android 9 Pie and comes with 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080×2244 pixels) RGBW display, 4,000mAh battery while Mate 20 Pro comes with a 4,200mAh battery and 6.39-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels) curved OLED display.
The company had exceeded 200 million units in global shipments of smartphones last year, when the overall number of Mate 20 series sales wast just 5 million units. The number eventually climbed and reached to around 7.5 million earlier in 2019.
He Gang, Huawei’s Consumer Business President said:
Huawei will be looking to ship around 230 million to 250 million units this year. Everything is dependent on the market conditions and ensuring steady progress with channels and supplier partners. We are aiming to grow the mobile business by around 30 percent to 50 percent year-on-year.
Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business said:
