It has been raining new services in India with Spotify being launched a few days back and now Google finally bringing the paid YouTube Premium and YouTube Music/YouTube Music Premium service in the country. Google has high expectations from the Indian users as they will be offering Bollywood content in addition to latest songs, artists, playlist, covers, music video and remixes on YouTube Music.
The YouTube Music service is completely free to use, but it is ad-supported which means you will have to opt for the paid version to avoid ads. On the other hand, the YouTube Premium service offers users high quality experience with an option to play videos in the background, which is not available in the free version of YouTube.
Considering all other music services on offer in India, it can be tough for YouTube Music to find its spot among the daily listeners. Still, it is a great option for those who don’t wish to pay for YouTube Music Premium service and enjoy non-stop music anytime. YouTube Music Premium costs Rs 99 per month, while YouTube Premium is priced at Rs 129 a month.

India is where the multi-lingual music scene thrives. It’s interesting to note how Indian artists have consistently claimed top spots over the last few months in the Global YouTube Top Artists chart. With YouTube Music, we are hoping to bring the best in global and Indian music to millions of fans across India, and give them an immersive music experience, with the magic of music on YouTube.
