iOS 12.1.2 Update Is Causing Cellular Data Problems

The recent update for iOS 12 has affected many iPhone users and they have complained on social media about the issues faced by them. Basically, the second build of iOS 12.1.2 has rendered the iPhones useless as people using it cannot send and receive messages and make calls because the cellular data no longer works. As soon these users went for the update, it literally made the iPhone a dummy.

The update was actually expected to solve the issues in the first build of iOS 12.1.2 which included fixing a major bug for eSIM support on the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, but it ended up making the iPhone bereft of all the basic features. This doesn’t help the users in any ways and they probably may have to use an Android smartphone till the issue is sorted out by Apple.

Many users took to Twitter, Facebook and Reddit to express their concern and disappointment:

@AppleSupport upgraded to iOS 12.1.2 today. And bang!! My cellular network does not work now. Apple is degrading its own standards

Hey @AppleSupport, maybe you could look into case # 100688778513? I’ve been waiting for a month trying to get something fixed. My last three inquiries into status have gone unanswered. Used to love apple

A similar problem was faced by the users in Turkey recently but the update for the fix issued by Apple made the scenario even worse for many of them. At the moment, the only advisable thing to do is not update your iPhone and wait until the company brings a fix that actually works and resolves the issue.
