OnePlus has finally added the support for iPhone data transfer on its Switch App. We are not sure if this comes as a direct indication of the rivalry between them and Apple, but it will definitely help several users who have started making the switch from iPhone to OnePlus smartphones. The Switch App already had the support for Android phones and anyone could conveniently transfer data from other Android devices to OnePlus.
The Switch App was launched by OnePlus earlier this year and it was developed to let users transfer their contacts, text messages, photos, and other data from an older phone efficiently without having to rely on a third-party App. It’s definitely a great initiative by the company who value their customer’s inputs and suggestions.
The update on the App now lets iPhone users install it from the OnePlus website and begin the data transfer to a OnePlus device without any hassle. You will not find the new version of the Switch App on the App Store, so it’s better to look for it on the website only. Once you have downloaded the App, you will have to follow the list of instructions with images posted by OnePlus on one of its forums.
The data transfer works with both the phones connected on hotspot. OnePlus says that the transfer will work for iPhone 5 and above models with iOS 9 and above versions. For Android users, the feature will be available only in Switch Android beta version V2.2.0 and will not be available on the Play Store for now.
