Xiaomi announced at an event today in Beijing that it will launching the Mi Mix 3 smartphone soon . The phone has a big full screen display with no notch in sight, so you may wonder ‘where is the front camera?’. Well, the company has fit the camera on a slider, that moves in and out from the upper part of the phone as you can see in the official advertisement for the device.
The display on the phone has a screen to body ratio of almost 93.4 percent compared to the previous versions like the Mi Mix 2S which only had 81.9 percent ratio. Xiaomi has claimed that the new flagship device will be the first smartphone in the world to have 10GB of RAM and support 5G. On the other hand, Samsung, OnePlus and Huawei have also been claiming to come up with world’s first 5G enabled smartphones by next year.
Looking at the specifications on the phone, it comes with a 6.4-inch OLED Screen with a 1080p panel. The phone boasts a total of four cameras: 24-megapixel selfie camera backed by a 2-megapixel sensor on the front and a 12-megapixel wide-angle and telephoto modules on the back. To unlock the phone, you will have the option of fingerprint sensor which is better than having to unlock the phone by facial recognition by sliding the cameras on a phone like Oppo Find X.
Mi Mix 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor and the 10GB variant will be a special edition phone with 256GB of storage and will be priced around $720. The device will be bundled with a 10W wireless charger as well.
