iOS 12.1 Will Have Group FaceTime And Dual-Sim Support For iPhone XS

Apple will be releasing the update for iOS 12.1 soon and it could be good news for the latest iPhones- iPhone XS and iPhone XR. The company will be most likely adding Dual-SIM support and also the much awaited Group FaceTime feature to these newly-launched phones and they will be fully functional with the update.

Earlier, Apple had delayed the Group FaceTime feature in the initial version of iOS 12 and later said that it will only roll out globally after they make improvements and bug fixes on the feature. The company has updated the iPhone user guide for iOS 12.1, which is a digital manual for the iPhone users where they can check for the Group FaceTime and Dual-SIM features.

The Group FaceTime feature will allow you to do conference calls with up to 32 people at the same time. During the group calls, the one who is speaking will be shown more prominently at the top while the other members will be shown at the bottom. Also, you will be able to see yourself at the top during the calls and see the other participants below.

The iPhone XS and XS Max was launched with dual-SIM support in India with the use of nano-SIM and digital e-SIM technology. So, the support for dual-SIM in iOS 12.1 will be in line with the hardware changes for the new iPhones. Apple has been testing the beta version of iOS 12.1 since mid-September and the company is yet to announce the official release date for the same.
