The visuals on the interface has gone big and you can check for all the relevant information on the home screen of the Assistant. Just search for something with your voice and the App will show you the cards instantly and you can interact with sliders, buttons and images. the bigger visuals make it very simple to glance at the information and it is much better than the previous version of the Assistant.

If you use the Assistant to dim the lights in your house, the App will show you slider and buttons to take the desired action. This makes it really easy to control the smart home devices and also saves a lot of effort for the user. There will also be controls for selecting the volume of your home speakers. These new features would also go along with the Assistant enabled smart displays, the recent ones from JBL and Lenovo.

Manuel Bronstein, Vice President of Product, Google Assistant said:

On Android phones, it’s now easier to access an overview of your day. Open up the Assistant and swipe up on your screen to get curated information based on the time of day and your recent interactions with the Assistant.

Google will be soon launching the new Pixel 3 phones and a few other devices including the touchscreen Google Home Hub device, that may also feature the new redesigned Assistant.
