The company is aiming to give the users a very simple way to message and communicate on the platform, where it conducted a small survey that found 7 out of 10 people care more about simplicity while using the App.

The new tabs on the Messenger would be – Chats, People and Discover. The tabs will cover most of the previous features on Messenger and people can connect with businesses to get the latest deals, play Instant Games, book your next vacation, follow the news and more. Users can also access the camera on top of the screen to click good selfies and post it on Facebook.

In a Blog Post, Facebook said:

While Messenger 4 is all about simpler and easier-to-use messaging, we’re still keeping all of the features that help you connect with the people you care about. Whether you want to poll your friends on which movie to see, split the bill for last night’s dinner, share your live location to find friends at a music festival, challenge them to your favorite games, or catch up in a group video chat, we aren’t changing anything about what you’ve always loved about Messenger.
