Apple had introduced the iOS 12 at the WWDC event in June and gave us a glimpse of all the new features that would be soon available for majority of iPhone users. It’s like the wait is finally over and you can finally update to iOS 12 if your iPhone is compatible with the update. It’s been 3 months since the announcement and we have seen a few beta release versions of iOS 12 till now, but the full version of the iOS 12 is definitely the real deal.
Here is a list of iOS device that are compatible for the update:
iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
iPad Pro (9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and both generations of 12.9-inch)
iPad Air and iPad Air 2
iPad mini 2, 3, and 4
iPod Touch (sixth-gen)
You can check for the update by heading to the Settings app where you should be able to see the prompt for the update under General -> Software Update.
Apple aims to make iPhones faster than ever with the iOS 12 update and giving the performance boost for the new as well as the older iPhones that seemed to get slower. Some of the fascinating features of iOS 12 are: Screen Time to help you manage your App activity and see how much time you spend on Apps on a daily basis, Group Notifications that will let you manage or mute all the notifications together for any App, Memoji to create your own custom avatar and completely redesigned experience for iBooks, Stocks, Voice Memos and Apple News.
