OnePlus will be soon launching the next flagship phone OnePlus 6T, and the company has revealed that this new smartphone will be an Amazon exclusive. This official announcement for the OnePlus 6T was made via an advertisement during the India Pakistan match yesterday and also on the dedicated website of Amazon India. The ad showcased Amitabh Bachchan stating that the OnePlus 6T is coming. The phone in advertisement looked like it had thinner bezels on the side with a curved glass.
But, so far we know that the phone will feature a in-display fingerprint sensor which was revealed by OnePlus recently. The 6T phone will be the first from OnePlus to have the sensor on the front and the company believes the main reason to introduced this feature is to make unlocking the phone less complicated for its users.
Company chief Pete Lau said:
We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.
Compared to OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T will feature a water-drop notch at the top and will have higher screen to body ratio of around 91.5%. Also, OnePlus confirmed that there won’t be a headphone jack in this phone and the new headphones featuring a USB Type-C connector will be available across all online and offline stores and will be priced at Rs 1,490.
