Android 9.0 Pie Update Is Now Available On OnePlus 6

OnePlus 6 users will be starting to get the Android 9.0 update from today, as announced by the company. The rollout will start with a few devices and will be eventually available on all the OnePlus 6 devices. This will give the company some time to fix the bugs in the update before a full-fledged rollout on all devices.

OnePlus said on its website:

Using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices. Your feedback is appreciated. We may not always be able to respond to every comment in the forums, but please be assured that we take your comments and feedback seriously.

With the Android 9.0 update, OnePlus 6 will be getting a new user interface coupled with new gesture navigation controls. The update will also see major performance improvements and speed up the smartphone. Also, there will be a better battery functionality with the adaptive battery support.

The company further added that it will be adding new colour optimisation options and also include new text notification mode and notifications for third-party calls. Users can also choose to alter the Do Not Disturb mode under settings.

OnePlus will also be soon launching the OnePlus 6T flagship smartphone soon. The smartphone will come with these specs:Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, 6/8GB RAM, and up to 256GB of storage, 6.4-inch display with full HD+ resolution with waterdrop notch and will also feature a fingerprint sensor on the display for the first time.
