Twitter Lite was launched last year aimed at getting more users from the developing markets who use 2G/3G network. It was first introduced in the Philippines in September, followed by more countries back in November. Today, the company announced that Twitter Lite app is expanding to 21 more countries making it a total of 45 countries.
Along with India, Twitter Lite will now be available to users in Argentina, Belarus, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Romania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Yemen, and Zimbabwe. The App is only under 3MB and users can download their choice of photos and videos while browsing, thus saving data.
