Call Centers May Switch To Google Duplex

Google Duplex was introduced to everyone at the Google IO in May 2018. It’s a smart calling service that will take the calls for you or make appointments. The service is not yet available to the public but it looks like it could head to call centers.

Sources say that Google is already working a partnership with a large insurance company on letting Google Duplex and the Google Assistant handle calls to and from customers. If something goes wrong, humans will be there to handle the situation.

As of now, Google Duplex is focused on a limited number of consumer uses like booking appointments at hair salons and restaurants.
