Apple Watch Leads The Wearable Segment With 3.5 Million In Sales

Apple’s quarterly reports (Q2 2018) came in and the sales of Apple Watch has grown by 30% compared to the same quarter in 2017. This is very impressive because the wearable market is growing at a fast pace too.

Research analyst Vincent Thielke said “Amid further competition for Samsung and Google, rumored to be launching Galaxy and Pixel watches respectively, Apple needs to work out how to drive refreshes in markets such as the US where its penetration into the existing iPhone installed base has started to level off.”

Competitors like Garmin and Fitbit have also been performing strong and they have helped pushed the wearable market to 10 million units.
