WhatsApp Users Can Now Control Media Visibility For Groups And Contacts

WhatsApp will now let users to restrict media from any chat to show up in their library. This update supports the chats from group and individual contacts. The Facebook owned company had recently introduced features of group video and voice calling to all Android Beta users.

Users can access the media visibility settings on the Data and Storage settings under General Settings menu within Contact info and Group info. If you want to hide the media from the individual contact, you will have to select NO on the media visibilty tab in the contact info section. If you want to hide the media from the Group, then go inside the Group info and select NO on the media visibilty option.

The hide and show visibilty features was previously available on WhatsApp beta version 2.18.194, which was later removed for reasons unknown. The feature is currently available in the WhatsApp beta version 2.18.194 which you can download through the Google Play beta programme.
