Google’s Podcasts App Comes With A New Trim Silence Feature

Google had introduced the much awaited Podcasts App to its users recently, with a huge library of audible content. The integration with Google’s smart speakers and Google’s Assistant made it even more likeable. The new update to this Beta version brings the ‘Trim Silence’ option beside the fast-forward controls.

The Trim silence features basically removes pauses and other gaps from episodes and shortens the playback length. It’s handy along with the speed controls that allow users to adjust playback between .5x and 2.0x and both features can be used simultaneously.

Google will be adding more features in future updates like the Google Cast support and Google Translate that will help make shows available in other languages.
