Google Home and Home Mini To Finally Launch in India

Google is all set to launch the Home speakers in India this coming Tuesday. Flipkart will be selling these devices and they have listed them on their portal conforming the dates and also revealing the features.

On Flipkart, they have put up the tagline ‘Intelligence meets comfort’ and the hashtag #MakeGoogleDoIt. Google had unveiled the speakers in 2016 with an aim to keep the home
members connected. The Home mini speakers is affordable and compact and was launched last October. The speakers shall make the Google Assistant service available to more people in the house and will help answer a lot of queries and other questions suitable to the Indian market.

Recently, Amazon had launched its own range of speakers-Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus. Google wants to give a tough competition to Amazon with the launch of Home speaker. Also, Amazon’s Echo line of connected speakers that are powered by its Alexa voice assistant while Home’s intelligence is powered by the Google Assistant.

Users can register for the devices on Flipkart website/App and get further updates. Some of the features listed on the Flipkart page include the speakers make it easier to play music, cast videos, control smart home, get news updates and more. Home speakers use voice recognition technology to be able to take up commands by the users. The device, apart from playing music on request, can also help users manage tasks around their house and answer queries that one would generally look for on the search engine.

The prices of these devices are not displayed on Flipkart yet, but for reference Google Home is priced at $129 in the US and the Google Home Mini is available for $49.
