Apple’s App Store Will Soon Have Free Trials On Subscription Apps

Apple is making changes in the App Store with a lot of new content and features. The latest one being free trials on subscription based Apps. The new section named “Try It For Free” is dedicated to this update.

As of now, free trial is available on four Apps namely 1Password, USA Today, Lake: Coloring Books, and Panna: Video Recipes. Once you choose the free trial, you’ll be taken to a Subscription Offer screen that tells you how long the trial runs for, the price after the trial, and how to download the app.

The free trial is good for users who want to try the App first before committing to purchase the App. It’s a win-win situation for both sides. Apple claims that it is aiming to make the App Store much friendly to the users and focussing on these trials.

Recently, Apple had redesigned its App Store in iOS 11 with the emphasis on human curation. Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing said “We are thrilled with the reaction to the new App Store and to see so many customers discovering and enjoying new apps and games.”
