In a move to combat any sort of conflict on social media, Google has decided to ban negative reviews by users which involve former employers. These comments are usually posted by the ex-employees on the Google’s Business Tool called Google My Business.
This tool is behind the rating that appears on-screen when you carry out search for a business, such as a pub or restaurant, using the search engine or its maps functions. Now Google is updating it’s review policies which will ban people from reviewing their former place of work negatively.
Users who post negative comments about their competitors to manipulate ratings shall also be banned. Google says this ban is essential to get rid of negative reviews that are unjust and would be of advantage for common people.
