Google’s App Tez is now available in the Google Play Store and the App Store, just before it’s official launch. The payment App is to be launched in Delhi today, where Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely will also be present. The App is somewhat similar to the App BHIM, and uses your mobile number, which is linked to your bank account. The App is available in seven different Indian languages, namely Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada and Bengali, and of course English. Along with your phone number, Google will also need you to sync the App with your Google account.
There are various distinctive features of Tez. It claims to offer you higher security than any other payment App. It simplifies the way how you transfer money from your bank account to your App. Sharing money to anyone nearby, is as easy as a pie. You can do that without sharing your personal account details. This is another great work put into the App. It uses, ultrasound rays, to connect two phones, through the phone’s speakers and microphone. More features are yet to come, i.e. you will be able to pay through debit and credit cards and you can set reminders and pay for bills which you pay often.
However, don’t confuse it with other Apps, as Tez is not a wallet App, that is you cannot add money to the Tez App and then pay for it. It is a direct gateway for payment. A direct link from your bank account to your payment source. No hassle of adding money and then paying it to the second party. The banks which are now connected with Tez are, HSBC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, State Bank Of India, Citibank and many more. We all look forward to see what the calibre of this App.
