To provide specialized support for its developers, Apple has announced the opening of its first App Accelerator in Bangalore, India, where the company is all set to begin the production. The first one of its kind facility would include tools and some of their best practices to set up the skills and transform the design, quality and performance of apps on their iOS platform.
“Apple’s commitment to the developer community through the opening of the App Accelerator is a tremendous investment in the future of India’s digital economy,” said Nasscom President R Chandrashekhar.
At the centre, a group of experts will lead briefings and provide one-on-one app reviews for developers. Each week, Apple’s team will guide developers to design best practices and refine their skills to create iOS apps.
Over the past two years, Apple has grown more focused on India. In addition to setting up development centres, the company is also about to begin manufacturing locally in the nation, a move that would allow it to cut the prices of the iPhones for the Indian market.
