The new update by Apple i.e. the 10.2.1 has been rolled out to all the compatible iOS devices, providing major bug fixes and crucial security updates. It weighs 72MB in size and includes 11 focused fixes around WebKit, the browser engine behind Safari, the App Store, and lots of iOS apps. There have been no significant user changes elsewhere. It is recommended to install this update as soon as possible to avoid malware and other such issues.
Apple has listed the issues in detail, fixed by the update on its support page.
In December, Apple had released the 10.2 update with major changes in the interface and security improvements, introducing more than 100 new emoji and new wallpapers and iMessage screen effects. It also marked the debut of Apple’s new TV app, meant to help Apple TV owners easily find things to watch, and view their purchased movies and TV shows from multiple services.
The beta for 10.2.1 has been available to beta testers for some time. Apart from this, Apple has also simultaneously released macOS 10.12.3 for Mac users, watchOS 3.1.3 software update for all Apple Watch users, and tvOS 10.1.1 update for the Apple TV.
The update will be available for iPhone 5 and later devices, iPad fourth generation and later devices, and iPod touch 6th generation and later devices.
