The latest reports on the Android Nougat operating system suggested that Samsung, Motorola, and OnePlus will soon release the updated software for their respective gadgets.
Lenovo launched the K6 Note smartphone for the offline market, just a day after the official launch of the Moto M Smarthphone. The company has now made an important update regarding the Moto M confirming that the phone is now officially announced to get the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. Motorola’s release of its Android Nougat update for its Moto lineup seems to have finally caught up with the Moto Z Play too.
It is important to note that Motorola’s Android 7.0 Nougat update has already reached other devices such as the Moto G4, G4 Plus, Moto Z and Z Force smartphones. As the Moto Z Play started collecting certifications, it will probably get released in a few days or so.
Reports suggested that the Android Nougat update has been made available to the user with the help of OTS notification. However, if customers are unable to view the notification, then they can manually search by navigating to the settings menu. To add on to that, there are rumors that the Motorola’s Moto X Play will directly receive the Android 7.0.1 Nougat update instead of the Android 7.0.
With the Nougat update, the users will get the enhanced security along with several UI tweaks including few new animations. The side-by-side multitasking can improve the productivity at least for the device with 3GB or more capacity of RAM.
While using side-by-side apps, the user can drag-and-drop text and files between those two apps. There are even more changes in the latest Android update along with new emojis. As of now, there is no time frame mentioned for receiving the Nougat based OTA Update for the Moto M smartphone. The device will go on sale in the next couple of hours exclusively on Flipkart. The 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 15,999 while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage costs Rs. 17,999. This is the first Moto smartphone to come with an all metal body. On the back of the device, we can find the fingerprint sensor and Moto dimple.
For the uninitiated, the Moto Z Play is currently considered one of the best mid-range devices in the market today. It has a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. Its premium build is dominated by both metal and glass material. Additionally, the phone ships with an impressive 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB expandable storage.
As far as other companies such as Samsung is considered, the South Korean technology will soon release the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update on its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones by early 2017. Also, OnePlus 3 is currently upgradable to the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The update has been made available to the OnePlus device with the help of the Resurrection Remix ROM, which is touted to offer the official Nougat features like DASH Charge, codex files for data apps, and reduced booting time.
However, there is still no official confirmation on when the update will be released by the company for its devices.
