Apple’s iPad Pro is now available in Indian retail stores at a starting price of Rs.67,900. The company launched its new tablet in India yesterday.
The iPad Pro is Apple’s biggest iPad with a 12.9-inch 2732 x 2048 pixel Retina Display. This 6.9mm thick tablet which weighs 713 gms is the only iOS device to support data transfers at USB 3.0 speeds with the new Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader. It has the new 64-bit A9X chip which apparently performs 1.8 times better than second-generation 64-bit A8X chip seen in iPad Air 2. According to Apple, the A9X offers desktop-grade CPU, console-grade GPU and promises a 10-hour battery life as well.
To go with their newest iPad, Apple has also launched a detachable keyboard and stylus. The smart keyboard which can fold up to become the iPad Pro cover is priced at Rs.14,900 and the pressure sensitive stylus, Apple pencil, is available at a price tag of Rs. 8,600.
The iPad Pro 32GB storage variant (Wi-Fi only) has been priced at Rs 67,900 while the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 79,900. The 128GB storage variant with 4G LTE connectivity is priced at Rs 91,900.
