Great news for all you Android users – a new and transformed Google Play Store design is on its way.
Kirill Grouchnikov, the software engineer at Google, recently shared a few pictures of the new Play Store on his Google+ account. Even though it’s not very clear what can be expected, it’s certain from the pictures that it’s renewed, with smooth animations and a fun new layout.
It seems like the six categories of the current Play Store: Apps, Games, Movies & TV, Music, Books, and Newsstand are going to be changed and now the store will be divided into just two categories – Apps & Games and Entertainment – each having more sub-categories.
There’s also, apparently, support for languages that read from right-to-left coming, with Grouchnikov uploading images of the Play Store in Hebrew.
However, there is no official confirmation by Google on when the update will be out or what the user can expect from it. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the very best.
