Facebook is all set to launch a dislike button after a lot of requests poured in. Mark Zuckerburg has today confirmed during a townhall meeting that Facebook will finally have a dislike button on all posts. While the idea of having a dislike button sounds quite interesting, it will be quite demotivating for people to post something really personal to share amongst friends and have them dislike it. It sort of creates a negative vibe for the social media platform. For fun & games, it should be extremely cool – but it does come with an emotional downside.
“People have asked about the ‘dislike’ button for many years, and probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it,” Zuckerberg said.
We don’t know when Facebook plans to launch it for everyone, but Mark did say that they are testing it and a test version will be shipping out soon.
