“Mark as unread” feature reminds the user to respond to the contact in case they are occupied with something else or any reason at a given point of time. The second feature which is a part of this update is custom notification – giving out options to customize tones, set the vibration length, popup notifications, light, call ringtones, among others. Cellular network users will be relieved to hear about the low data usage option for voice calls. Data usage can now be monitored from within the App and can also be backed up on to Google Drive.

With the new update the only concern will be the quality of voice calling on the low data usage option. Let’s see how this update goes down with the 1,000,000,000 to 5,000,000,000 users.
