United Airlines is planning to buy more than 23,000 iPhone 6 Plus for their flight attendants. The airlines announced that during the second quarter of next year flight attendants will be carrying iPhone 6 Plus to serve customers. The device would help the flight attendants to make on-board retail transactions, access company email and also view airlines website, manuals for policies and procedures.
iPhone 6 Plus not only enhances the ability of flight attendants to meet the needs of customers, but in future will also be used to report aircraft cabin issues, follow up on repairs, and replacing hard copy safety manuals with electronic ones.
According to PR Newswire,
“We are thrilled to make this investment in our flight attendants,” said Sam Risoli, United’s senior vice president of inflight services. “iPhone 6 Plus will enable them to deliver an even higher level of flyer-friendly service and will offer our flight attendants simple, one-touch access to valuable work information, enabling them to better serve our customers.”
