With Apple’s next event only two days away, apple.Club.tw has published an image of the logic board that it claims to be of iPad Air 2. The image shows an A8X processor chip and gives a closer look at the 2GB RAM. As rumoured before, the logic board shows an Elpida memory supplied RAM. The picture of the RAM is not very clear but if zoomed-in further some letters can be read that indicate a 2GB RAM.
Apart from increasing the RAM and an A8X chip, the new iPad Air is also expected to include an anti-reflective coating, sleeker design, introduction of Touch ID, Apple Pay, recessed volume buttons, speaker grills in a single row, and a third gold color option.
Apple will unveil iPad Air 2, Retina iPad Mini, Retina iMac on October 16 at Apple’s TownHall. The invitations that say ‘It’s Been Way Too Long’ for the event have already been sent out.
