The long-awaited Xiaomi Redmi 1S could be up for pre-registration tomorrow, costing a shockingly low $136 (6,999 Indian Rupees).
This is based on a teaser/contest Xiaomi India posted on their Facebook page with a blurred out image of a phone, asking fans to guess what they will be announcing tomorrow.
Coupled with Xiaomi’s earlier announcement that the Redmi 1S would go on sale in India near the end of August, we are led to believe that this device could have its first flash sale as soon as the 29th of August.
It will feature a Quad Core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 2000mAh battery, and 8MP and 1.6MP rear and front facing cameras respectively. Also, it will have a 4.7″ 720p IPS display.
The device offers mid-tier specifications, but at the unbelievably low cost it is an amazing choice for people in need of a smartphone for light to moderate tasks.
