Taiwanese Website, Apple Daily, has posted purported component images of 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The images are of the display, logic board and battery of the larger iPhone 6. The website has referred to the larger model as iPhone 6L.
Previous rumours have shown similar images for display and internal circuit board; however the new leak is for the battery. The image shows a large battery with a capacity of 2,915 mAH that runs at 4.35 volts. It cannot be confirmed whether the image is of a real or fake battery, but it has an Apple part number of 616-0675 and has markings that are similar to other Apple batteries.
It is expected that the capacity for the 4.7-inch battery would be 2,100 mAh, hence a higher capacity of 2,915 mAh for the larger iPhone 6. With a higher capacity and larger screen size, 5.5-inch iPhone 6 would have specs similar to 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S5 which has a battery capacity of 2,800 mAh.
The event on September 9 to introduce 4.7-inch iPhone 6 may also introduce the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, though the release of the larger model may be delayed by a few months.
