In May, Apple had won the second major infringement case against Samsung and the court had asked Samsung to pay $120 million to Apple. After winning the case Apple had requested for a permanent injunction on nine Samsung devices in the U.S. According to The Wall Street Journal, Judge Lucy Koh has denied this request.
According to Judge Lucy Koh, Apple failed in “demonstrating irreparable harm and linking that harm to Samsung’s exploitation of any of Apple’s three infringed patents.”
A recent report also suggested that Apple and Samsung plan to end their patent disputes outside U.S.
