After iPhone 6’s leaked images, we now have mock-up images of the new iPad Air. The physical mock-up of the next generation iPad Air comes from case makers who make cases based on information received from Apple. These images are released by Chinese Website GooMea and nowhereelse.fr, and there’s no assurance given that these are correct.
According to the images, the new iPad Air is much similar in design to the current iPad Air. It does feature Touch ID with the home button, as expected. Other physical changes are new recessed volume rocker control and recessed power button at their currently existing locations with no clarity on what benefit this new design offers. There are 2 holes, one on the rear and other on the side next to volume control, which are most probably the microphones.
The next generation iPad Air will have the new iOS 8 software, improved camera sensors, and an advanced and more efficient A8 processor. It is expected to be launched by this September along with new iPhones, iWatch and Retina iPad mini.
