According to a recent report by Wall Street Journal, Apple’s soon to be launched smartwatch will have as many as ten or more sensors which will mainly collect health related data. According to past reports and WSJ report, Apple iWatch’s focus will be Health, and to that purpose it will have sensors to track and capture health and fitness data.
During WWDC, Apple executives had also mentioned a new Health App and Health Kit which are designed to collect user’s fitness and health data in one place. iWatch and the Healthbook App will most likely work in sync.
The WSJ report also mentions that Apple is working on multiple models for the iWatch which will be different in screen sizes. Besides health related data, iWatch will also perform functions related to calls, text messages and more. The smartwatch is expected to be released by October this year.
