As Apple gears up for its iPhone 6 launch, its assembly line partners, like Foxconn and Pegatron have also started ramping up their production lines. According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Foxconn is hiring 100,000 new workers for the assembly of iPhone 6. Secondary partner Pegatron is also increasing its workforce by 30 percent as it gets around 30 percent of the total new iPhone 6 orders, according to the report.
Besides a hiring spree, Foxconn is also planning massive expansions to its two assembly lines in an endeavor to meet the high demand for the new phone. Foxconn, which has the bulk order for Apple’s 4.7-inch iPhone 6, is also expected to handle complete production of a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 version, according to appleinsider.
