According to Bloomberg, both iPhone 6 — 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch — are going into production next month. Going by old rumors, 4.7-inch was planned to launch in September and 5.5-inch later this year, but today’s report indicates that both may get launched at the same time.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, is under pressure to increase Apple’s iPhone sales as it contributes to more than half of Apple’s Annual revenue. Last year’s revenue from iPhone was $91 Billion. Due to a complicated production of 5.5-inch iPhone 6, it is expected Apple will launch fewer of the larger phone compared to 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Apple will have to simplify these complications before it goes for a higher volume of of the bigger iPhone 6.
