Recently there have been two news about iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak solutions for iPhone 5C and iPhone 4 but none for iPhone 5S. First jailbreak solution for iOS 7.1.1 on iPhone 5C was by hacker @ion1c and then by @winocm for iPhone 4.

According to @winocm, jailbreaking newer devices was possible if somebody was willing to “put in the effort.” Also, @ Ion1c wrote, “That iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak is not based on a long vulnerability chain. It uses a single beautiful kernel bug that goes from mobile to kernel.”

Recently to add to the excitement of hackers, jailbreak pros @blue9057 added a video on YouTube for one of the most interesting jailbreaks till date for the iPhone 5S running on iOS 7.1.1. He described his work on YouTube as, “This is what I did on iPhone 5S, with iOS 7.1.1”.

With iOS 8 expected to launch for developers soon, there will be soon a concentrated effort by jailbreak groups to come up with a solution for the new operating system.
