Right on cue with the announcement of Apple’s in-car iOS powered system called CarPlay, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo have just given us a glimpse of what this system will really look like in action.
Volvo posted a video of the in car system running in its new luxury XC90 SUV, watch it below:
The video covered the rudimentary features of CarPlay, which include iMessage, navigation via Apple Maps, and content streamed using Spotify.
As for Mercedes, they released a few images of CarPlay running on their upcoming C-Class model, which will be demoed at the Geneva Motor Show.
In startling contrast, however, Mercedez-Benz claimed that their cars would also feature Android powered in car solutions.
CarPlay is set to arrive in automobiles from Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Honda, Jaguar, and Hyundai, as well as twelve other automobile manufacturers who signed contracts to offer this in the near future.
It will arrive later this year running iOS 7.1. More details on Apple’s website, here.
