iOS 8 Screenshot Leak, Shows 4 New Apps
Screenshots of Apple’s upcoming update, iOS 8, were leaked on Chinese Twitter equivalent, Weibo. The screenshots show that iOS 8 will be very similar to iOS 7 in terms of visuals and design. The screenshot shows 4 new Apps included by default: Healthbook, TextEdit, Preview, and Tips.
Healthbook is Apple’s upcoming fitness tracking App, which will allegedly link with the rumored iWatch and track vital signs as well as give workout information. It might also work independently. TextEdit and Preview will allow users to view and use relative files from their iCloud, which include text, image and video files. As for Tips, for now there’s only speculation, but it could be a source of tips and shortcuts on fully utilizing and taking advantage of the features in iOS 8.
The TextEdit and Preview icons are identical to the Mac App icons, so it is safe to assume that they will be altered before the OS’ final release expected at WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) in June.
Two screenshots of the homescreen, as well as one of the ‘About’ screen in settings were also leaked, which shows an AT&T device running iOS 8.0.
According to 9to5Mac, the leaks are legitimate, which makes us think about what Apple would have changed under the hood.
