Google has acquired Green Throttle Games, a company that brings mobile games to larger displays and makes Android controllers. This deal could confirm rumors of an Android powered set top box for the living room, that hooks up with your TV to display content, stream media, and play games.
According to a Google Spokesperson, a couple of Green Throttle members, including co founders Matt Crowley and Karl Townsend have joined Google. Charles Huang, the founder of the company, will still remain at Green Throttle, though we are not sure which direction they are headed in.
So far however, Google has not provided us with any details, but we’ll keep you in the loop as this develops.
