Google has just announced that Google Now notifications will be available on your desktop, Mac, or Chromebook, with the new Google Chrome beta. The Google Now cards will be displayed in the notification center of Chrome, and will include ‘weather, sports scores, commute traffic, and event reminders cards.’

So the next time you’re finishing up emails at your desk, Google Now might suggest that you leave the office a bit early to beat the heavy traffic on the way to your dinner date. To view the notifications, click on the bell icon on your desktop (on Mac and Windows) or the numbered box (on Chromebook) to open the Chrome notification center.
You will need to login with the same Google account used to activate Google Now on your iOS/Android device. For now, it will only be available in English, though Google said that support for more languages will be coming soon. Once it is stable, it will roll out to the official version of Chrome.
