According to a Bloomberg Report, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will see the light of day in April this year, and in competition to the iPhone 5S fingerprint scanner, it could feature an eye-scanner, to be used as a security measure.
The executive vice president of the company’s mobile business, Lee Young Hee said in an interview with Bloomberg, that the S5 would launch in April, along with the long awaited Galaxy Gear smartwatch. He also said that it will feature an improved design and ‘advanced functions.’
Lee Young also mentioned that many felt the S4’s design was quite similar to that of the S3’s, and so for the S5, they will ‘go back to the basics.’ This could mean that it will feature a hard plastic body, but one that resembles the S2, or the first Galaxy. Only time will tell.
