Faulty Battery Could be Causing Less Battery Life On Your iPhone 5s
Your brand new iPhone 5s been getting less than average battery life? While it could be due to excessive data or GPS usage, there is a slight chance that a faulty battery could be causing this in a “very limited number” of devices, according to Apple.
Apple recognized this problem in a statement they issued to NBC News:
We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5s devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life. We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.
There is no surefire way of knowing whether your device is prone to this problem or not, but if you feel that a faulty could be the case on your device, head over to the nearest Apple store and let them know about this. Apple is also checking for the devices that they know sport a faulty battery, and if yours is amongst them, you should be contacted by Apple soon.
