Apple retail stores are available in 14 countries across the globe, with over 400 branches, for easy access to Apple products and accessories. Turkey, however, did not have an official Apple retail store until now.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the Apple Store will be opening up in Istanbul, in the Zorlu Centre, which is among the most posh and popular shopping spots in the capital. The Apple store will be located between the Burberry and Louis Vuitton stores in the Centre, and is expected to be completed in early 2014.
Earlier, Apple CEO Tim Cook gave honorable mention to these retail stores during the WWDC, and claimed that the retail stores were “integral parts of the communities that they serve.”
It is speculated that the Istanbul store will open up in January next year, though it isn’t confirmed. We will keep you updated as this develops.
