iPhone 5S to Run Latest 64 Bit A7 Processor, 31% faster than the A6

In a recent Tweet, Fox News Anchor Clayton Morris claims that Apple is working on an A7 processor, which will supposedly be 31% faster than its predecessor.

Sources are telling me the new iPhone’s A7 chip is running at about 31% faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast.

Earlier yesterday, 9to5Mac published a report and further added to the integrity of the claim by saying that the rumor has been circulating in the industry for a while:

We’ve independently heard claims that some of the iPhone 5S internal prototypes with fingerprint sensors include 64-bit processors. It’s unclear if 64-bit will make the cut, but it’s in been in testing

The new processor is said to make “animations, transparencies, and other iOS 7 graphical effects” run faster, and smoother on the upcoming iPhone 5S, which is speculated to be running this chip.

As of now, the iPhone 5S and the cheaper 5C are said to be released on the 10th of September.
