Some users have been using pirated copies of Tweetbot, the popular Twitter client for Mac and iOS. To stand up against these pirated copies, Tweetbot in a humble way automatically suggests pirated users to tweet this –
Note that Tweetbot does not force this tweet to be published, but has this text placed in the tweets section so users just have to hit the “Tweet” button. Tapbot founder believes that users would do this, and they actually are. Developers put in a lot of effort to build an App and if you really like the App, you should reward them by purchasing a legal copy of it.
As Tweetbot noted back in October, Tweetbot is priced at $19.99 as there are a limited number of tokens available.
These tokens dictate how many users Tweetbot for Mac can have. The app’s limit is separate from, but much smaller than, the limit for Tweetbot for iOS. Once we use up the tokens granted to us by Twitter, we will no longer be able to sell the app to new users. Tapbots will continue to support Tweetbot for Mac for existing customers at that time.
Good job, Tweetbot. You can buy the App from here.
