Today, Roam & Wander, a small Hong Kong and Taipei based Indie game and toy studio, made three announcements.
Their first title, Sticker Games, is one of a kind. What makes it so unique? Children get rewarded by real stickers, delivered right to their doorstep, for their in game achievements. Soon after its release, this bumped to #1 in paid educational apps, on the Taiwan AppStore. Today, the Mandarin version of the app will be launching in the US, and the English version will be here by March.
Their second announcement, is of TuTu, an app-enabled stuffed toy which is based on the lead character in their game, Sticker Games. TuTu is fully interactive and children can take care of her by feeding and by using toy food, toothbrushes, and jewelry that interact using the iPhone app which requires you to out your iPhone inside the toy itself. Not only that, but kids can also play games with TuTu and and listen to stories! TuTu will be demonstrated at the Games & Toy Fair in Hong Kong this week.
Lastly, they’re also announcing Series A investments by leading Chinese venture firm, WI Harper.
You can check out the Sticker Games’ Facebook page here, for videos, pictures, and her feedback.
