Steve Jobs’ yacht, Venus is now ready to sail. The more than $3.6 million bill which was unpaid by the Steve Jobs family leading to a dispute with the designer – Philippe Starck has now finally found a solution. Venus is now completely ready to sail, according to French newspaper Le Monde.
“A solution has been found and a security has been lodged on a bank account for the boat to be free to leave,” Moussault said. Starck reported that only six million euros was paid of the nine million euros cost. But according to the Jobs family, the designer was only supposed to receive a 6% commission.
There was no detailed contract and Jobs trusted the designer. The designer is also mentioned in the Steve Jobs official biography.
