If you are a new Android user or you plan on getting an Android device, then you are likely going to download an arsenal of applications that fit your personal needs. With thousands of applications in the market, which one should you get first? Well, you could get on your phone or go to Android.com to see what the most popular apps are. But there are really good apps way down on the long list of Apps too. During the coming weeks, we will be covering some breath-taking Android Apps that will help you get the most out of your device. For this week, we will be covering the top Android games that’ll get you addicted.
1. Angry Birds
Angry Birds is undoubtedly the most popular app on the entire Android market. With 4 different versions of Angry Birds the fun never stops. The only other thing I have to say about Angry Birds is you should really make sure you monitor the amount of time you spent playing it. It can be very addicting.
2. My Paper Plane 2 (3D) Full
Don’t be deceived by the name. My Paper Plane is one of the best apps you can have on your phone. Your goal is to control your paper airplane by using your phones accelerometer through each of the courses. The longer you last the more more points you get. If you get enough points you can earn medals, which in turn unlocks new levels. My Paper Plane is a great way to show off your phone’s accelerometer and the lack of a price tag makes it even more appealing. That said, I have to put My Paper Plane second on the list of must have games for Android.
3. Link It Lite
I put the lite version here because you can always buy the full version of the game if you like it. Link It is a fun puzzle game. As you advance through the different levels, the game gets surprisingly difficult. Most people will not likely spend hours playing Link It Lite, but that is precisely the reason I put it here, because it is a great way to kill 5 or 10 minutes of time and have fun at it.
4. NFL or FIFA
EA, the popular gaming company currently has 15 apps available on the Android Market. At the time only 2 of these apps are without the burden of a price tag. However, the games Electronic Arts has made for Android are well worth paying a few dollars to have them. My personal favorite is Madden NFL 12. It has outstanding graphics for a mobile version of a rather complex game. Madden has all 32 NFL each with their actual players. There are three different game modes, Exhibition, Playoffs and Season. There are also three different game levels, Rookie, Pro and of course All Madden. Madden NFL 12 is a must have app for all football fans.
What if your not a football fan? Well, EA has a game for you too. If you are a soccer fan FIFA 10 is the perfect game for you. Since however I am not a soccer fan I can’t review this game. But it is available in 11 languages. The game features 570 teams from all around the world. The game also has a feature where you can create your own player.
So there you have it. Four must have games for new Android users. Next week we will check out other must have apps in another category.
